Where I live is excellent and at a great price! Everything was and is clean, and the furnishings were excellent all things considered. I've been living where I am now for almost 3 years and haven't had a serious problem. Of all the places I have rented in the past, this is the most well kept, and the most looked after. Also, our location is excellent for grad student living or small families, or groups of working professionals.
That is not to say that Rudy is overbearing, intrusive, or strict. In the past, if I have asked for something to be fixed or have a look taken, it usually happens within a couple of days, or a week at the most. And Rudy never shows up unannounced, or without reasonable notice, and he only shows up maybe once every 3 months except during the periods he is showing the house. Additionally, his lease is one of the most considerate leases I have ever had to sign. As far as rentals go, it would be hard to find someone better.

The houses are high quality and the landlord is flexible and understanding when it comes to fit your needs.

While completing my Ph.D. program at Syracuse University I lived in Syracuse for about 6 years and moved to 4 different apartments. I have lived in run-down apartments with good management and in very expensive apartments with exceptionally bad management. In 2018, I was able to find an excellent apartment rented out by SU Good Living, where the apartment was well maintained and well managed. The locations of the properties are fantastic for students at Syracuse University or other individuals who need to commute to Syracuse or neighboring towns.
Rudy is a responsive and attentive landlord who treats his tenants with respect and dignity. He never leaves his properties or apartments in a state that he himself wouldn't live in, and everything is always properly maintained in a quick and orderly manner. There are no hidden fees, extreme requirements in the lease, or nonsense antics. It's simple. SU Good Living is about providing quality apartments and comfort to the local Syracuse community. I've dealt with plenty of leasing companies and landlords in my time at Syracuse and so have plenty of my friends and colleagues at Syracuse, and so I mean it when I say that SU Good Living is the top of the line in Syracuse. And I'm absolutely confident that all of Rudy's tenants would easily agree with that.

I have lived at two of Rudy’s properties and I can attest that he is very responsible and responsive. Properties were clean and the rent was very reasonable. I would recommend any of his properties. In total, I was a tenant for 4 years both for my undergraduate and graduate studies. To give you an insight into Rudy’s mentality, he once told me when I switched between his properties; “I am not going to raise your rent, don’t worry about it. You are a student and I am not here to profit from a student.” Rudy is a great and reasonable man and I would highly recommend.

I am an undergraduate forest resource management student at SUNY-ESF and I lived the last year in a room upstairs within 146 Redfield Place. The apartment was pretty well kept, especially for how old the building is. It is within a 15-minute walk to campus and all the neighbors are other students, which is very convenient. The apartment has all the basic amenities that a student could need like a washer/dryer set up, private workspace, and enough room to share publicly with the potential 3 other bedrooms in the apartment. I would recommend this living situation for any student who is willing to live with other people.
The landlord Rudy is very kind and easy to work with. I have leased more than one apartment from Rudy and he has always responded quickly to any issue that I brought up. This past semester he even got our apartment a new microwave within a week of us bringing it up.

Rudy has been an amazing landlord for us for the past 2 years. He is always quick to help us if we need something repaired in the house and is very easy to reach. Rudy has respected our privacy and ensured that he asks us when it is best for him to show the house for future tenants. I rented from Rudy for one year and it was a great experience! Rudy is super nice (unlike many other Syracuse landlords) and was great at responding to anything we needed fixed (although, I didn’t really encounter any problems in the 1 yr I lived there). He’s also great about giving us notice before stopping by or showing the house, which was really appreciated. Overall, I had a really positive experience and recommend renting from Rudy!
